Parma Officers Raise Money to Benefit Cancer Patients

This year in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the men and women of the Parma Police Department not only wore pink colored patches to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer, but also raised over $5,300 to support breast cancer patients and research. This year, the money raised will benefit The Gathering Place, a local charity that supports, educates, and empowers individuals and families currently coping with the impact of cancer in their lives through programs and services provided free of charge. On Wednesday, November 9th, Chief Joseph Bobak, Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter, and Parma Police officers presented a check to Michelle Seyranian, the CEO of The Gathering Place, and Adam Ross, their chief development officer, in front of University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center in Parma.
